About the Advocacy Summaries

Historic Salem, Inc. has played a long-running role in advocacy for the historic resources of Salem. This effort is at the center of HSI’s mission.  Historic Salem tracks preservation and development activity in the city through an internal "Watchlist" that is discussed at our monthly preservation committee and Board meetings.

The selection of Advocacy Summaries listed below describe our work through the project pathway for the listed resource describing reviewing authority actions, input from HSI and the Salem community. This sampling highlights several of our many activities on behalf of Salem's historic resources.
